The increase in registrations indicates stable demand for .UZ domain names among website owners. The .UZ domain remains a popular platform for hosting corporate websites, online stores, information portals, and digital services.

Surpassing the milestone of 160,000 registered domain names confirms the continued positive growth of the .UZ domain and its sustained popularity among users.

ICANN has announced the upcoming DNSSEC Root Key Signing Key (KSK) Rollover, scheduled for 11 October 2026.

The KSK Rollover is a planned security procedure intended to maintain the security, stability, and resilience of the global Domain Name System (DNS). This change will affect organizations operating DNSSEC-validating recursive resolvers, particularly those using:

• manually configured Trust Anchors;
• outdated software;
• custom DNSSEC configurations.

If the required updates are not applied in a timely manner, DNS resolution failures may occur after 11 October 2026.

Accordingly, all relevant organizations are strongly encouraged to assess the readiness of their infrastructure in advance, verify that Trust Anchor automatic update mechanisms are functioning correctly, and, where necessary, update their software and DNSSEC configurations.

As part of the forum, representatives of the .UZ Domain Administration participated in working meetings, thematic sessions, and professional discussions dedicated to the development of country code top-level domains (ccTLDs), the resilience and security of Internet infrastructure, and the improvement of global Internet governance mechanisms.

Special attention was given to cooperation with the international community of country code top-level domain operators. During meetings with representatives of ccNSO, participants discussed prospects for further collaboration, the involvement of the .UZ Domain Administration in ICANN initiatives, and opportunities to expand its participation in the activities of the international professional community.

An important highlight of the forum was the introduction to Seher Sagiroglu, the new Stakeholder Engagement Manager – Middle East & Central Asia. During a productive discussion, the parties explored current areas of cooperation, exchanged views on the development of the region’s Internet ecosystem, and outlined plans for future collaboration.

The forum also provided an opportunity for representatives of the .UZ Domain Administration to meet with ICANN Vice President Chris Mondini. The meeting served as a valuable occasion to strengthen professional ties with members of the international Internet community.

Participation in the forum provided an opportunity to familiarize with current international best practices in the management of national domain zones, expand professional contacts with representatives of national registries, industry organizations, and the expert community, as well as gain valuable experience for the further development of the .UZ domain infrastructure.

In celebration of the national .UZ domain’s anniversary, the .UZ Domain Administration (UZINFOCOM) has launched new services and updates aimed at developing infrastructure and improving convenience for users and partners.

One of the key innovations is the launch of version 3.0 of the .UZ domain zone management system API for Registrars. The updated version will provide expanded integration capabilities with registrars and external information systems, increase performance, and improve customer service delivery. The project includes integration, technical testing, and phased implementation of the API, enabling market participants to interact with the system more efficiently.

Another important development is the test launch of Nadim AI online assistant.

Nadim AI is an intelligent online assistant powered by artificial intelligence, designed to automate user interaction in the field of domain names. It combines the capabilities of modern language models with specialized expertise in the domain industry, allowing it to function not merely as a chatbot, but as a full-fledged digital consultant. Nadim AI’s main goal is to simplify the user journey, reduce the time needed to obtain information, and make working with domains as clear and efficient as possible.

At the same time, the official ccTLD.uz website has also been updated. The interface has been redesigned in line with modern standards while preserving familiar functionality and key user interface elements.

In parallel, extensive internal work is underway — key system components are being modernized, functionality is being optimized, and service stability is being enhanced, creating a reliable technological foundation for the future development of the domain zone.

These updates are timed to coincide with this important milestone and reflect the .UZ domain’s commitment to implementing modern technologies, improving service quality in the domain name market, and ensuring a high standard of service for all participants in the digital ecosystem.

During the event, experts spoke to students about the development of digital technologies, including Web 2.0 and the transition to Web 3.0, as well as the prospects of blockchain and artificial intelligence. Participants showed great interest by actively asking questions and engaging in discussions about modern IT trends.

The master class was aimed at developing students’ professional skills and increasing their interest in the field of information technology. Such initiatives contribute to building digital competencies and expanding students’ opportunities for professional growth.

Both parties expressed their willingness to continue cooperation, including organizing joint educational events in the future.

During the forum, participants discussed issues related to the management and development of country-code top-level domains (ccTLDs), DNS infrastructure security, the implementation of innovative technologies including artificial intelligence, as well as cooperation with registrars and users.

Special attention was given to Session 6A — “ccTLDs and Emerging Technologies: Adapting Roles in a Rapidly Changing Internet,” which took place on February 4, 2026. The session explored the evolving role of national domain administrators in the context of the rapid development of artificial intelligence, blockchain technologies, and decentralized systems, as well as ways for ccTLDs to adapt to new technological and governance challenges.

During the session, a representative of UZINFOCOM, the Head of the .UZ Domain Administration, delivered a presentation highlighting approaches to implementing modern technologies, developing a resilient and secure domain infrastructure, and supporting digital transformation in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Participation in APTLD 89 contributed to strengthening international cooperation, exchanging experience, and enhancing the role of the .UZ domain in the global Internet community.  

The trademark registration confirms the exclusive rights to use the Token.uz brand within the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including its use in domain names, and provides legal protection in accordance with national legislation.

This step strengthens the platform’s position in the digital technology market, increases trust among users and partners, and establishes a solid legal foundation for the further development of the ecosystem.

This marks an important milestone in the development of the Token.uz blockchain platform and the country’s entire blockchain ecosystem, reflecting a commitment to sustainable growth, transparency, and strict compliance with legal requirements.

This result confirms that domain names today function as digital assets, the value of which is formed by market mechanisms, and that an auction is the most transparent tool for determining that value. At the same time, an auction is not only about records, but also about making informed choices. It provides an opportunity to select a domain name for a specific project, brand, or business need, based on current market conditions.

For many participants, the auction becomes the moment when a highly sought-after domain name finds its rightful owner.
