RIPE NCC CONDUCTED TRAININGS IN TASHKENT TO CELEBRATE THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE .UZ DOMAIN
Starting from April 30, 2025, a series of educational events took place in the capital of Uzbekistan, organized by the Regional Internet Registry RIPE NCC with the support of the Single Integrator UZINFOCOM. The initiative was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the national top-level domain “.UZ”.
The educational program covered three key areas in internet infrastructure and information security, generating strong interest among the country's technical community. The event was attended by network and system administrators, engineers, cybersecurity experts, as well as representatives of internet providers and IT companies.
Key Training Topics:
- The first session focused on working with the RIPE database. Participants gained hands-on experience in managing database objects, learned how to effectively search and verify data, and mastered RIPE NCC tools for IP resource management.
- The second training dealt with IPv6 network security. RIPE NCC specialists provided in-depth explanations on how to build secure IPv6 networks, implement traffic filtering mechanisms, detect threats, and apply modern methods to strengthen network resilience.
- The final session of the program was dedicated to BGP routing security. Participants explored vulnerabilities in this critical protocol and studied techniques to mitigate them.
Each topic included both theoretical and practical components, allowing participants not only to acquire up-to-date knowledge but also to apply it in practice.
The event served not only as an educational platform but also as a venue for active experience exchange among industry professionals. Participants noted the high level of organization and expressed strong interest in the continuation of such initiatives.
The RIPE NCC trainings in Tashkent made a significant contribution to the development of the country’s digital infrastructure and the strengthening of Uzbekistan’s position in the international internet community.
