.UZ Domain Administration Delivered a Presentation at APTLD 89
From January 31 to February 7, 2026, the 89th Meeting of the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association (APTLD 89) was held in Amman, Jordan, bringing together more than 50 national registries from across the region.
During the forum, participants discussed issues related to the management and development of country-code top-level domains (ccTLDs), DNS infrastructure security, the implementation of innovative technologies including artificial intelligence, as well as cooperation with registrars and users.
Special attention was given to Session 6A — “ccTLDs and Emerging Technologies: Adapting Roles in a Rapidly Changing Internet,” which took place on February 4, 2026. The session explored the evolving role of national domain administrators in the context of the rapid development of artificial intelligence, blockchain technologies, and decentralized systems, as well as ways for ccTLDs to adapt to new technological and governance challenges.
During the session, a representative of UZINFOCOM, the Head of the .UZ Domain Administration, delivered a presentation highlighting approaches to implementing modern technologies, developing a resilient and secure domain infrastructure, and supporting digital transformation in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Participation in APTLD 89 contributed to strengthening international cooperation, exchanging experience, and enhancing the role of the .UZ domain in the global Internet community.
