On March 28, at the Universal Acceptance Day event held in Yerevan, UZINFOCOM negotiated with the regional registrar RIPE NCC regarding the launch of the global K-root server.

Having a root server in close proximity significantly reduces the time it takes to determine an IP address from a given domain name.

The installation of the K-root server in Uzbekistan aims to increase the fault tolerance of the domain name system and the stability of its operation. The implementation of the project will allow for increasing the geographical distribution of the critical infrastructure of the global DNS and its resilience to increased loads, such as DDoS attacks.
